Understand where you will live.

HAVO gathers what public sources say about apartment projects across Vietnam, shows what nobody has verified yet, and gives you the questions to ask before you rent or buy.

How HAVO helps

From a project name to a clear decision

  1. Find and understand

Search by project, area or developer. See what the source says, and what it leaves out.

    Find apartments
  2. Save and compare

Keep the places you like in one shortlist, then put them side by side on the same terms.

    Open shortlist
  3. Check before you commit

Take the right questions to a viewing, run the numbers with real quotes and tick off each check.

Hashima: when the jobs leave before the buildings

Behind the abandoned-island image is a community tied to a coal mine. Its lesson is not that old buildings inevitably fail, but that housing needs a reason for everyday life to continue.

Money and contracts

Before an apartment deposit: recipient, purpose and refund terms

A request to transfer money is not a complete explanation of a transaction. Before opening the banking app, connect the payment to its recipient, written purpose and cancellation arrangements. Use this worksheet to discover what still needs an answer.

Viewing with a method

View an apartment twice: daylight, evening and the approach

A second viewing is useful when it answers questions the first could not. Arrange two different, relevant time windows and repeat the same small tasks. You are building a comparable record of the actual unit and its approach—not proving that an entire building is quiet, safe or well managed.

Rent with context

Is cheaper rent cheaper overall? Build a monthly living budget

Compare the whole month before choosing a lower rent. Use the same household basket for both homes, separate recurring spending from cash held as a deposit, and leave unknown charges visible. A useful comparison does not need guessed market prices.

The lived-home notebook

A commute diary for the week you actually live

A route plan asks whether a journey is possible; a diary asks how it fits your week. Record representative trips without turning a small sample into a citywide verdict. Identify what works, what is tiring and what needs testing.

The HAVO promise

Three things HAVO will never do

  • Call an asking price a transaction price

An asking price is what a seller wants. HAVO labels it as an observed asking price.

  • Call a project “legally safe”

One document does not make a whole purchase safe. Check the papers for the exact unit you buy.

  • Sell rankings

No overall score and no paid placement. The order you see is never advice.
